Caves of Hercules
1 hour
This cave has historical, archaeological, and mythical significance. You can see evidence of the Phoenicians, the Berber people, and even where Hercules himself is believed to have stayed before his 11th Labour--to get golden apples from the Hesperides Garden.
The cave has two outlets, one to the sea, and the other to the land.
Cape Spartel Lighthouse has a quaint cafe where we will enjoy coffee or orange juice.

Cap Spartel

Cap Spartel is a promontory in Morocco about 1,000 feet (300 m) above sea level at the entrance to the Strait of Gibraltar, 12 km west of Tangier. It is the northwesternmost point of the African continent. Below the cape are the Caves of Hercules. Enjoy spectacular views over the Meeting point of the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea.

The breeze that blows through the intricate maze of the Medina streets will cool you on our warm summer afternoons!
